ROGERS STATEMENT ON DISMISSAL OF POLITICAL WITCH HUNT
Advice for the AG: focus less on prosecuting political opponents and more on locking up violent criminals
WHITE LAKE, MI — A state district court today dismissed a case against 15 Michiganders over the 2020 election.
“It was these individuals and many other individuals in the state of Michigan who sincerely believed, for some reason, that there were some serious irregularities with the election, or with the voting, and that somehow their candidate didn’t receive all the votes that was intended for them,” said Judge Simmons. “[...]I believe they were executing their constitutional right to seek redress.”
Army veteran, businessman, and Trump-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate Mike Rogers released the following statement in response to the ruling:
“It’s clear: the only people the Democrats want to see in prison are their political opponents. For years, the Attorney General and her cronies worked to destroy the lives of these 15 Michiganders. They were harassed, fired, financially ruined, and unjustly threatened with lifelong sentences–all for expressing their constitutional rights. That ends today, but the witch hunt never should have happened in the first place. Not in Michigan, and not in America. Some advice for the Attorney General: focus less on prosecuting your political opponents and more on locking up the violent criminals laying waste to our cities.”
