MIKE ROGERS CALLS TO MAKE DETROIT SAFE AGAIN
Rogers urges Detroit mayor to call President Trump for backup
WHITE LAKE, MI — As President Trump takes bold action to make American cities safe again, Army veteran, former federal law enforcement officer, and Trump-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate Mike Rogers urges the Mayor of Detroit to call the President for backup.
Detroit ranks second in the nation for violent crime and soars far above the national average on every barometer, including murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. President Trump’s success in Washington D.C. is proof that we can bring violent crime, like what we’re seeing in Detroit, to a halt. Within just two weeks of President Trump bringing the National Guard to D.C., violent crime plummeted 32%. While Democrats across the country refuse the President’s help to follow suit and protect their own communities, Mike Rogers is calling to Make Detroit Safe Again.
“The numbers don’t lie: Detroit has become a hub for violent crime,” said Rogers. “And these aren’t just statistics–they’re people and families, whose lives have been flipped upside down because they aren’t even safe in their own community anymore. We have got to make our cities safe again. The Mayor of Detroit should be on the phone with the President now calling for backup.”
As a former federal law enforcement officer, Mike Rogers spent years working with state and local law enforcement to protect victims, bust gangsters, and clear criminals off the streets. He remains committed to keeping our communities safe.
