ROGERS ANNOUNCES “NO WORK, NO PAY” PETITION

WHITE LAKE, MI—-Army veteran, businessman, and Trump-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate Mike Rogers today announced his new petition, “No work, no pay.” The petition argues that if members of Congress won’t do their job and keep the government open, they shouldn’t get paid.

Video transcript below:

When I was growing up, my dad always had two to three jobs.  And he always used to say, if you don’t work, you don’t get paid.

Think of what Congress has been doing to us of late. They have been causing workers not to get paid, and they’re still collecting their paychecks.

If you are in the government, and your job is to make sure the government is fully funded, and people are getting paid–and you’re not doing it. You’re not doing your job. Then guess what, you should not get paid either.

Let’s tell Congress, you’ve got to act like the rest of us. If you don’t work, you don’t get paid. Matter of fact, you shouldn’t even adjourn until you work out your differences and get these people paid.

It’s high time that Congress lives by the same rules as the rest of us. rogersforsenate.com/noworknopay. Let’s send them a message. Michigan: Let’s get to work.
