ROGERS RESPONDS TO EL-SAYED CALLING HIS STATEMENT ON THE MICHIGAN SYNAGOGUE ATTACK A “RISK”
El-Sayed sympathizes with Michigan synagogue attacker
WHITE LAKE, MI — Army veteran, businessman, and Trump-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate Mike Rogers today released the following statement responding to his opponent, Abdul El-Sayed’s, claim that it was a risk for him to release a statement following the terror attack on a Michigan synagogue:
“If you’re having a moral crisis over whether to condemn terrorism, you’re unfit for office. This terrorist attacker nearly mass murdered over 100 kids in their place of worship. There’s no justification for it, but here Abdul is sympathizing with the attacker. It’s an absolute slap in the face to the families of these kids, and to Michigan’s entire Jewish community—and only serves to inflame antisemitism.”
The attack in West Bloomfield threatened the lives of over 100 children. In his response video, Abdul sympathized with the attacker. His team was also allegedly “really worried” about him even commenting on the attack. Abdul is no stranger to sympathizing with terrorists. He’s set to host events on Michigan college campuses with Hasan Piker, the streamer who claimed “America deserved 9/11.” Abdul also fundraised off of October 7–the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust–blaming Israel and making no mention of the Hamas terrorist attack.
Mike Rogers, however, harshly condemned the attack on the Michigan synagogue. He has stood unwaveringly with Michigan’s Jewish community and against antisemitic hate.
