Mike Rogers Accepts Three General Election Debates

Mike Rogers is committed to ensuring voters see a Senate debate before ballots are cast

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Mike Rogers, has accepted a debate invitation from AARP and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce Foundation with WDIV on September 23rd. It’s imperative that Michigan voters are afforded the opportunity to see both U.S. Senate candidates debate before the mandatory period of 24-hour access to drop boxes begin on September 26th.

Mike Rogers believes that voters deserve to hear from the candidates seeking to hold office prior to casting their ballots — especially for an office as important as Michigan’s next U.S. Senator. Mike Rogers is happy to accept debate invitations from WOOD on October 8th and WXYZ on October 14th — And we assume Slotkin agrees with us on the importance of a debate prior to ballots being cast, and we look forward to debating her beginning September 23rd.

Rogers has long believed that voters have a right to hear directly from candidates on their vision for a better future – which is why he participated in 17 debates during his first run for Congress.

“Mike Rogers is ready and excited to debate Slotkin over her rubber stamping the Biden-Harris agenda that’s made life unaffordable for families who are living paycheck to paycheck. We hope that she agrees on the importance of voters getting a chance to hear from both candidates prior to casting their ballot, and await her response.” — Rogers for Senate Communications Director Chris Gustafson.
