Slotkin Continues Efforts to Mislead Michigan Voters
OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Today, the Rogers for Senate campaign filed cease-and-desist letters with over a dozen television stations across Michigan regarding an advertisement funded by Slotkin’s campaign. The advertisement, lacking citations, is filled with patently false claims and absurd accusations about Mike Rogers in Slotkin’s latest attempt to mislead Michigan voters.
Let the record be clear: Slotkin signed a non-disclosure agreement that involved giving over $175 million in Michigan taxpayer money to Gotion, a company subsidized by the Chinese Communist Partyand found by the U.S. House to have engaged in Uyghur slave labor. Slotkin’s former boss, former Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta, said "I don't think there's any question that they're going to take advantage of that situation," in regards to China using the Gotion facility to spy on Americans.
Additionally, Slotkin left Michigan for over two decades, the majority of the 21st Century, and only moved to Michigan to run for Congress following her termination as a federal employee in 2017.
“When Slotkin moved to Michigan to run for Congress, she couldn’t stop raving about Mike Rogers’ record of delivering for Michiganders. But rather than defend her own record of high grocery prices, a dangerous open border, and votes to ban gas cars, she’s decided to spread lies and falsehoods about Mike Rogers to Michiganders. Slotkin is simply a self-serving politician that will say whatever it takes to get elected.” — Rogers for Senate Communications Director Chris Gustafson.
