Rogers on Fox Business: Public Officials Should Not Sign NDAs

This morning, Mike Rogers joined Fox Business Network's Maria Bartiromo to discuss the state of the race in Michigan and why Slotkin should release herself from her secret agreement before November 5.

On the state of the race…

“The stakes are huge. The Cook Political Report has us as a toss up and our internal polling has us tied going into this last week. We are in the right position to get this thing done. It is a big deal because these government mandates are telling our car companies what they need to buy and what kind of cars we're going to have to drive. It’s having a tremendous impact here in Michigan. The rest of the country might get a cold on this issue, we are going to get pneumonia. 40% less labor to build an EV automobile according to the CEO of Ford. It’s having a huge negative impact. 2,400 layoffs at Stellantis, 1,000 layoffs at General Motors… These things matter here in Michigan for people who are wondering if they are going to have a job next year.”

Rogers calls on Slotkin to come clean…

“First of all, public officials should not be signing a non-disclosure agreement, that goes against transparency for your constituents… None of this makes sense to the average Michigan citizen. Why a non-disclosure agreement? Why did you sign it? What’s in those deals that you don’t want to talk about? That’s really concerning to a lot of people.”
