MIKE ROGERS ON FOX: THIS GUY HATES FOOTBALL, FIREWORKS, AND THE FOURTH OF JULY
WHITE LAKE, MI — This evening, Michigan Republican U.S. Senate Nominee Mike Rogers joined Sean Hannity on Fox News’ Hannity to talk state of the race and reaction to opponent Abdul El-Sayed’s disdain for beloved Michigan traditions.

On Football, Fireworks, and the Fourth of July:
You can almost hear a collective gasp across Michigan for all the things he spends time hating on. I mean, when I go back, I want to make sure we're protecting our faith and our families and our factories and our freedoms, while he's advocating doing away with our fireworks, football, the Fourth of July.
This guy spent hours hating on what most Michiganders would enjoy in their pastimes, and he should be held accountable for that. These are views that he held that he was pretty strong about, but he knew that he had to delete them all. If people really knew who he was, they wouldn't vote for him.
On Radical Abdul El-Sayed:
This guy has come out against Mackinac Island, the iconic tourist attraction that is very popular in the state of Michigan, he hates that. And you just go down this list… He wants to ban gasoline cars. I don't know if he checked, but we build gasoline cars in Michigan. I don't know if he knew that or not.
This guy is so wrong and so radical for our state. Once people know this, I think we're going to be in good shape going into November, and that's why the Democrats… are in a little bit of a tizzy.
But boy, they're circling the wagons. The Democrats are circling their wagons around a guy who identifies with all the socialist policies. He doesn't believe in prisons… He wants violent offenders and sex offenders let out. This guy is just one hit after another about how out of line he is with people in Michigan who get up to work every day.
On the state of Michigan’s Senate Race:
Remember, in the last few months, there was not even a reporter who asked him how you're going to pay for Medicare for all, and he didn't explain to the UAW that he plans on taking their hard-negotiated healthcare and handing it off to the government. And once people start to understand what he's talking about and what he really believes, really people just find it hard to believe that he could have this stance and win the Democrat nomination.
And again, this isn't your dad's Democrat party or your grandparents' Democrat party. It has changed. Here's the good news, Sean. We're getting a lot of folks who are Democrats who are saying in the state: we can't do this. This can't be the direction of the state and the country, and they're joining on to the Rogers for Senate campaign.
