MIKE ROGERS ON FOX: ABDUL IS TOO EXTREME FOR MICHIGAN
DETROIT, MI — Army veteran, businessman, and Trump-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate Mike Rogers today joined Kayleigh McEnany on Fox News’ Saturday in America to emphasize how while Abdul sews hate, extremism, and division, Mike Rogers is fighting for all Michiganders.

On Abdul El-Sayed comparing himself to Jesus:
“This just tells you who he thinks he is, and but not only that, he's already secured Abdul For President. This guy is very confident in his beliefs, but I will tell you what, that's what makes him too extreme for the state.
He believes that it's good to be radical and to call for the end of gasoline-powered engines. You know we build cars here in Michigan. I'm not sure he knows that.
He believes that the government should be inside your business, running your business.
He wants to take away healthcare from UAW workers who earned through hard negotiations really good healthcare benefits and insurance. That's extreme, and it's dangerous to the people who are actually going to lose the things that they count on to take care of their family.”
On Abdul flip-flopping on Medicare for All:
“Doesn't surprise me at all. He is so extreme now. He can't win on what he believes, but what you saw with the book, with all of that running around in the in the Primary, yelling it at the top of his lungs — he knows he can't get elected on that, so he knows he's honked off every UAW worker, every pipe-fitter, every operating engineer who has that healthcare. Now, he's trying to say, ‘Well, I was just kidding.’ I don't know what he's for. And that's why I think he is really unfit to do this.”
On winning over Moderate Democrats:
“We've actually been running a campaign on real issues that are affecting Michiganders. Two-thirds of our fourth graders can't read in the fourth grade. You have a 70 percent chance of going to prison or being on welfare if that's the case. So, we have a plan to help the state get kids reading from third to fourth grade.
We have a housing plan that the Detroiters that we've been talking to love. We're working on getting manufacturing back. We want to put shop back in every high school, so we can raise up the next generation of skilled trades.
We're talking about things that matter in their lives, and we're also pointing out just how extreme Abdul is.
Again, when people think about them taking their private healthcare — Medicare for All and the bills that do it — that's exactly what it is. He can't hide from that.
On Abdul El-Sayed’s hateful extremism:
He can't hide from the fact that when a terrorist filled his car with explosives and tried to kill 130 kids at a synagogue school, [Abdul] said, ‘Hurt people want to hurt people,’ and he could understand that.
That's who he is. We need people to understand who he is, not his fancy changes every 30 seconds on social media. This that's why this guy's just too extreme for the state.”
