ICYMI: ROGERS CALLS ABDUL EL-SAYED’S COMMENTS ON THE AYATOLLAH “DISQUALIFYING”
In case you missed it…Army veteran, businessman, and Trump-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate Mike Rogers responded to opponent Abdul El-Sayed’s leaked audio recording where he was exposed for not wanting to comment on the death of the Ayatollah. Abdul said, “there are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad today, so like, I just don’t want to comment on Khamenei at all. I don’t think it’s worth even touching that.”
In a Fox News interview, Mike Rogers emphasized that Abdul is exposing how far to the Left the Democrat party has drifted:
“Here’s the dangerous thing about this. He is now the number one candidate in the Democrat primary here in Michigan. He has raised more Act Blue money over his comments than any of the other candidates. That just tells you where we’re at with the Democrat party in Michigan, and I think around the country, where they have drifted away from rational thought on events just like this. He was sympathizing with a terrorist trying to kill children.”
Rogers doubled down on Newsmax, calling Abdul’s comments “disqualifying:”
“This thing, left unchecked, is going to get America to a very bad place. And so, I worry about it. I think it’s disqualifying if you can’t get behind the country that is removing the largest terrorist threat in the world. Boy, it’s just shocking to me.”
