Governor Rick Snyder Endorses Mike Rogers for U.S. Senate
OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Today, September 27, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate Mike Rogers earned the endorsement of former Michigan Governor Rick Snyder.
As governor, Snyder oversaw Michigan’s economic comeback following the Lost Decade under former governor and now Biden’s Energy Secretary, Jennifer Granholm. Under Snyder’s leadership, Michigan gained over 525,000 new jobs, over 155,000 manufacturing jobs, and reduced the unemployment rate by 10% as Snyder and the legislature consistently passed balanced budgets on time. Snyder also delivered record investments in STEM and skilled trade fields, providing career opportunities to more Michiganders, and he helped set the groundwork for Detroit’s resurgence we are witnessing today.
Former Michigan Governor Rick Snyder:
“I’ve always believed that Michigan’s best days still lie ahead, but we need strong leadership to guide our state into the future, and Mike Rogers is our proven candidate. Mike has dedicated his life to serving Michigan and with him as our Senator I know he’ll work hard for our agriculture community, he’ll grow our economy, lower costs for families, and put Michigan workers first. I’m proud to endorse Mike Rogers for the U.S. Senate and I know he’ll always have our backs in Washington.”
Republican Candidate for U.S. Senate Mike Rogers:
“Governor Snyder helped lead Michigan’s renaissance, placing the state on a path of fiscal responsibility and prosperity with hundreds of thousands of good paying jobs, and I’m proud to have earned his endorsement. My campaign has always been about helping Michigan families who are living paycheck to paycheck, lowering costs, and protecting Michigan jobs, and as Michigan’s Senator I’ll get the job done. Michigan, it’s time to Get America Back on Track!”
