AD: ABDUL THINKS FOOTBALL IS BAD, BUT MEN IN WOMEN’S SPORTS IS GOOD
DETROIT, MI — Team Rogers and the National Republican Senatorial Committee today released a new ad as part of a coordinated seven-figure ad buy, which slams Mike Rogers’ opponent Abdul El-Sayed for his extreme views. The 30 second ad will run in the Detroit market across TV, streaming, and digital platforms, starting August 28th.
The ad emphasizes how out-of-touch Abdul El-Sayed is with Michiganders. He has advocated for allowing men in women’s sports while calling America’s favorite sport “racist” and “dominated by toxic masculinity.” Mike Rogers knows that football teaches valuable life lessons such as teamwork and toughness—the same ones he learned on the football field. The choice in this election is nothing short of crazy vs. common sense.
This ad buy comes on the heels of Mike Rogers’ ad about protecting Michigan’s beating heart: manufacturing. Meanwhile, Abdul El-Sayed supports job-killing EV mandates and threatens to ban gas-powered cars altogether.

My dad was a football coach at Redford Union.
I played football all through high school.
On the gridiron, I learned about teamwork and toughness.
Abdul, well, he says football is racist, sexist, and dominated by toxic masculinity.
So, let's get this straight.
Abdul thinks football is bad, but men playing in women's sports is good.
That's just not who we are in Michigan.
I'm Mike Rogers, and I approve this message.
Common sense versus crazy. That's Michigan's choice.
