KENT COUNTY SHERIFF MICHELLE LAJOYE-YOUNG ENDORSES MIKE ROGERS

April 26, 2024

BRIGHTON, MI — Army veteran, businessman, and Trump-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate, Mike Rogers, announced today that he’s earned the endorsement of Kent County Sheriff Michelle LaJoye-Young.

Following 35 years in public safety, LaJoye-Young took over as Kent County Sheriff in 2018, and is the only female Sheriff in the State of Michigan. Under LaJoye-Young, Kent County has been a leader in stopping human trafficking and has worked with multiple departments across Michigan to track crime patterns that help keep all Michiganders safe.

“I know first hand the tragedies Michiganders continue to face thanks to the wide open border and the violent crime it’s bringing to our state, it’s critical that we elect leaders who will fight to secure the border, which is why I’m endorsing Mike Rogers for the U.S. Senate. Mike’s proven track record of results, and his extensive national security background, will ensure law enforcement in Michigan will have a vital ally to help bring safety back to our communities.” – Kent County Sheriff Michelle LaJoye-Young

LaJoye-Young’s endorsement follows high profile endorsements for Mike Rogers from President Donald J. Trump, former Detroit Police Chief James Craig, Michigan Congressional Members Jack Bergman, Lisa McClain, and Tim Walberg, former Michigan Congresswoman Candice Miller, and U.S. Senators Katie Britt, Shelley Moore Capito, Steve Daines, Joni Ernst, and John Kennedy.
