Trump Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Endorses Mike Rogers

BRIGHTON, MI — Trump-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate, Mike Rogers, announced today that he's earned the endorsement of President Trump's former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo.

Pompeo, a former Congressman who served with Mike Rogers on the House Intelligence Committee, served as President Trump's Secretary of State where he oversaw historic peace agreements such as the Abraham Accords, and executed the highly effective zero tolerance policy against Iran.

Secretary Mike Pompeo:

"Mike Rogers is the leader we need in the United States Senate. Mike served our nation in the Army and fought unabashedly for a strong America in Congress, and during my own service on the House Intelligence Committee, he showed incredible leadership as its Chairman. As a Senator, Mike Rogers will continue to confront the historic threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party and be an indispensable leader in keeping America safe and secure.  He has my full support, and I hope the good people of Michigan will join me.”

Trump-endorsed Senate Candidate Mike Rogers:

"It is an honor to have Secretary Pompeo’s support. It was an honor to serve alongside him in Congress as we held individuals accountable for failing to keep Americans safe. Now, I am looking forward to working with him as we continue to champion a strong, secure America on the world stage in the face of challenges from China, Russia, and Iran."

Pompeo's endorsement follows high profile endorsements for Mike Rogers from President Donald J. Trump, Chief James Craig, Michigan Congressional Members Jack Bergman, Lisa McClain, and Tim Walberg, former Michigan Congresswoman Candice Miller, NRSC Chairman Steve Daines, and U.S. Senators John Barrasso, Katie Britt, Tom Cotton, Shelley Moore Capito, Joni Ernst, and John N. Kennedy.
