Rogers: People are Fired Up and Motivated
Mike Rogers joined Hugh Hewitt to highlight new polling that shows him and Slotkin statistically tied. Rogers continues to campaign across Michigan talking with voters in all corners of the state, while Slotkin relies on her Washington friends to prop up her disastrous record.
On the state of the race in Michigan…
Mike Rogers: “We’re doing great. We had a poll… that had us down two and within the margin of error and our opponents like many of these competitive senate seats are just pouring money from outside of the state. They’ve spent $37 million on my opponent and can’t get her up to 50%... We’re in this thing. Here’s how, we have the first ground game in this state this extensive in probably 30 years. We just crossed about 3 million doors, phones, and voter contacts. We haven’t done that in a very long time. We are getting people fired up and motivated.”
On the key issues in this election…
Mike Rogers: “It is all groceries, all costs, all the time… People are using food pantries the last couple of days of the month to feed their families and these are working people. These aren’t people who are waiting on the government to send them a check. These are working folks who are absolutely horrified. Think about this, about half of Michiganders could not sustain a $400 emergency event in their household… It’s really bad. It’s why you see the polls in Michigan so tight is that the Democrats are telling people that are struggling at the grocery store that they aren’t really struggling.”
