ROGERS MEETS WITH LAPEER HOSPITAL, DISCUSSES RURAL HEALTHCARE
WHITE LAKE, MI — Last Week, Army veteran, businessman, and Trump-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate Mike Rogers met with a hospital in Lapeer to discuss the issues facing rural healthcare, including data security and the need for apprenticeship programs to train new workers. They also discussed the importance of the historic, $50 billion investment in rural healthcare included in President Trump’s Working Family Tax Cuts.
Below is a video from the meeting:
Video Transcript:
“Hey, we’re in Lapeer County. We just met with the senior leadership of health care around this community in the thumb.
Listen, it is so important we get this right about making sure that rural healthcare is alive and well.
In the Big, Beautiful Bill, they passed $50 billion to help rural hospitals that desperately need it.
That was absolutely critical that they’re getting that. And we’re just going to continue to have conversations about how we make sure that these hospitals are taken care of and can provide service for the rest of our rural state.
So, Michigan, we’ve got a lot of things to do. Let’s Get to Work.”
