ROGERS ENCOURAGES ABSENTEE, EARLY VOTING

DETROIT, MI – Army veteran, former FBI street agent, former House Intelligence Chair, and candidate for U.S. Senate Mike Rogers today released a statement as voting kicks off in Michigan:

“For decades, Michigan was home to the American Dream that if you worked hard, you could do anything, accomplish anything, and be anything. But a quarter century of Democrats’ monopoly over our two Senate seats has pushed that Dream out of reach and managed Michigan’s decline. We now have an education system that ranks 45th in the nation, 200,000 lost manufacturing jobs, the highest utility rates in the Midwest, and housing prices that continue to skyrocket.

And rather than restore the American Dream, my opponent peddles anti-America rhetoric; campaigns with Hasan Piker, who believes “America deserved 9/11;” and says that if you want to achieve the American Dream, move to Canada. Well, I just don’t believe that. Unlike Abdul, I’m proud to be an American and know that we have a state to save. We have to get kids reading again, ensure that wages go up while costs come down, and restore Michigan to the Arsenal of Democracy.
