Mike Rogers Turns the Radio Dial, Highlights his Key Endorsement

In case you missed it, yesterday Mike Rogers joined radio titans across the state to discuss his recent endorsement from Michigan Farm Bureau’s AgriPAC and to show how Slotkin’s false farmer persona continues to grow her nothing but trouble.

In case you missed it…

Paul W. Smith: “Congrats on your endorsement from AgriPAC…”

Mike Rogers: “Thank you. First time a Republican has earned it in this seat since 2006. We sat down with all farmers across the state, 45,000 of them and they said, ‘We are under siege. Please help us get the government off our backs.’ I was honored to stand with those farmers and make sure they get the support they need to feed our country.”

Justin Barclay: “Now you've got good news today earning another big endorsement. AgriPAC tell us a little bit about it and why folks are excited.”

Mike Rogers: “This is the second largest industry in the state, and I've traveled all over the state, talked to literally dozens and dozens of farmers who are struggling. This was the first time we've imported more food than we exported and farmers are getting hammered. Between the regulatory environment and the fact that the Biden administration is not enforcing trade regulations… I would rather trust our own food produced here than food we have to import to feed our families. We can't be a great country if we can't do it… These farmers are saying, ‘I want my kids to be able to farm, and I want my grandkids to be able to farm,’ and what the Democrats are proposing will stop that from happening. This is a wake up call. I am honored to have their endorsement. I will fight for Michigan farmers and American farmers every single day to make sure they have the ability to grow fresh food… and get us fed in a way that takes care of our economic security and our national security.”

Scott Sands Show

Scott Sands: “Rural communities and farmers are suffering from poor policy decisions under the Biden Harris administration…”

Mike Rogers: “When you talk to farmers up here in Michigan… They are talking about the regulatory regime that’s coming out of Washington, D.C. that doesn’t allow them to farm in the way they’ve been doing for generations. It’s costing them. This is the first time under the Biden-Harris administration with support of my opponent Slotkin that we’ve imported more food than we’ve exported. Which is why the farm bureau endorsed me today, which is huge for us. There are 45,000 family farms in Michigan, that is a really important endorsement and they did it because they are getting clobbered and the Democrats just aren’t helping them.”

Scott Sands: “What kind of policies can you bring to the senate that can help farmers in Michigan, Ohio and Iowa, Illinois and the midwest?”

Mike Rogers: “... We gotta stop having these regulatory procedures coming out of Washington D.C. for people who have never even worked on a farm, let alone have seen a farm. It’s all nonsense… It’s not too complicated, you [the federal government] just have to leave farmers alone. They are the best conservationists you’ll ever meet. They are frugal people and they just want to be left alone… You have to let farmers be able to farm. If we’re importing food that makes us more reliant on our enemies. That means in times of conflict or war or stress we can’t feed ourselves. We need to take a step back and look at all the regulations coming out of Washington… We used to be the greatest exporter of food in the world and now we’re gobbling up land for windmills and solar farms… They Chinese are buying ag land like crazy. We have to stop this nonsense.”
