Mike Rogers Joins a Fired Up Diner on Fox and Friends
This morning, Mike Rogers joined Fox and Friends in a packed and fired up diner in Romeo, Michigan. Mike took questions from voters and highlighted new polling that reveals he’s leading in the final stretch before election day.
On the momentum in Michigan…
“We’re feeling great. You hear the excitement in this room, we’re seeing that all across the state. We just had a poll this morning, that has us up by two points. First time we’ve been in the lead.
“They outspent us early. We did it the old fashioned way, we have a ground game that is the best in the United States we think. Just last week we hit 88,000 doors. We have touched over 3 million voters with phone calls and door knocks. That was all happening under the radar while they were on TV saying all kinds of nasty things calling us everything but by our Christian name. The good news is people weren’t buying it. The people believed the issues were more important than all the nastiness. What we found is four months of nasty and lying ads doesn’t make up for four years of bad policy.”
LIZ and TONY ask MIKE about how he will secure the border…
“When President Trump is elected and when I go into the senate. We are going to do ‘Remain in Mexico’ right away. We are going to end sanctuary cities… We are going to make sure the folks that are here, we find them, spin them around, and send them home. They are overwhelming communities. We need to empower the customs and border protection officers and agents to do their jobs. If we empower them on the first day you’ll be surprised at the turnaround that happens.”
PAUL asks MIKE about school choice…
“I’m a huge fan of school choice. 57% of our high school seniors couldn’t read at the 6th grade level. 80% of our students in Michigan are reading below grade level. If we don’t have school choice we are going to lock these kids into a future of poverty. We need to change that… By the way, get all the other nonsense out of schools and get readin’ writin’ and arithmetic back in our schools.”
SCOTT asks MIKE about protecting Michigan’s daughters against biological men in their sports…
“There is more common sense in this diner, than all the committee rooms back in Washington, D.C. We’re going to enforce Title IX. It is absolutely ridiculous that women are losing scholarships to biological males and that they have to put up with biological males in their locker rooms. Unfortunately, my opponent voted and was a lead author of the bill to do that. It is not representative of Michigan, we’re going to end it. I’ll protect your daughter, my daughter, my wife and all of our daughters.”
