COOK RATINGS SHIFT — MICHIGAN SENATE RACE NOW A TOSS UP!
Cook Political Report shifted it's rating for the Michigan Senate race from Lean D to TOSS UP! Cook cited recent polling, Rogers' dominant position in the primary, and Slotkin's deep trouble being tied to Biden.
"If there was one race that was looking like a stronger opportunity for Republicans even before the CNN debate and looks even more in play now, it is Michigan."
MICHIGAN DEMS IN PANIC MODE — Joe Biden is set to drag his flailing campaign to Detroit tomorrow, yet it seems no Democrats in Michigan are interested in attending, especially Elissa Slotkin.
Slotkin spent the week implementing the Five D's of Democrat Comms: Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and Dodge.
Slotkin has so far refused to answer directly if she believes Biden should be the Democrat nominee, let alone if he should be serving in office today with access to the nuclear codes.
Slotkin finally made it clear today however that she will not be attend the Biden event, instead offering the press excuses bordering on the absurd.
IT MAKES SENSE WHY — Yikes, the New York Times reported on Wednesday that Slotkin on Wednesday told donors that President Trump is leading Biden in Michigan, and the Senate race is a "dead heat."
“Right now, President Biden is behind Trump in all of our polling and this Senate race is in a dead heat,” Representative Elissa Slotkin said during a video call with donors, according to a clip of the event obtained by The New York Times.
Ms. Slotkin also appeared to take a shot at Mr. Biden during the call by sarcastically noting that she was running for the seat only because Senator Debbie Stabenow, 74, was “doing a radical thing and passing the torch.”
A spokesman for Ms. Slotkin, the leading Democratic candidate heading into the state’s Senate primary next month, declined to comment.

SLOTKIN'S BAD WEEK OF VOTES — While Slotkin wasn't avoiding questions about Biden, she was busy taking horrible votes that will haunt her in the fall.
On Wednesday, Slotkin voted against the SAVE Act, which would require proof of citizenship to prohibit illegal immigrants from voting in U.S. elections.
On Thursday, Slotkin voted against protecting girls' sports, voting no on CRA to block Biden's complete re-write of Title IX that opens the doors to more biological men playing in girls' sports.
