CHIEF JAMES CRAIG ENDORSES MIKE ROGERS FOR U.S. SENATE
Major endorsement solidifies Rogers’ standing as the Law & Order candidate
BRIGHTON, MI — Republican candidate for Senate, Army veteran, and former FBI Special Agent, Mike Rogers, received a major endorsement in his race for the U.S. Senate from former Detroit Police Chief James Craig.
James Craig is a true son of Detroit who built a long and distinguished career in law enforcement that brought significant change, safety, and security to Detroit. Under Craig’s critical leadership, Detroit made major strides towards lowering crime in the city and surrounding communities, helping spark Detroit’s extraordinary comeback.
In 2020, while cities across America burned, Chief Craig worked with community leaders to maintain the peace and keep Detroiters and local businesses safe. Since leaving his post in 2021, Craig has been a strong conservative leader, helping Republican candidates in Michigan and working with local law enforcement agencies across America to help keep families safe.
Former Detroit Police Chief James Craig:
“I’m proud to endorse Mike Rogers for the U.S. Senate. Like myself, Mike has dedicated his life to protecting the American people, from his time in the Army, to the FBI, to serving as the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee. I’m confident that as our next U.S. Senator Mike will secure our southern border and work closely with local law enforcement to keep our communities safe and secure. I look forward to working with him as we fight to defeat Joe Biden and the Democrats in November.”
Chief Craig’s endorsement of Mike Rogers follows several high profile endorsements for Rogers, including former Trump Cabinet Official Ric Grenell, Macomb County conservative leaders including Candice Miller, the small business-focused Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce, the Police Officers Association of Michigan, the Southeastern Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police, over 30 Michigan Sheriffs, Congressman Tim Walberg, and U.S. Senators Britt, Capito, Daines, and Ernst.
